Snake Cult character concepts

For my final year project at university i wanted to draw character concepts in a hostile environment that lead to a very primal hierarchy system. To achieve this goal i decided a cult would be a perfect example of what i wanted to draw, so i researched about insanity and how it could be applied to an entire group of people. My research revealed that an 'Instigator' can impose a belief onto other people during a psychotic episode. With this knowledge i knew i needed to create a leader of the cult and the followers would fall in to their own hierarchy based solely on power and dominance. Because of this it was easy to create different classes of enemies that held different tiers of power within this society.
